Artificial Intelligence is a computer science branch that has the objective to amplify machine intelligence to match human intelligence.
The main goal of Artificial Intelligence as a science branch is to simulate human intelligence abilities, such as comprehension, decision making, problem solving, translation, creativity, and beyond.

The three types of AI are:

The ability of AI to learn from data and patterns is called machine learning. There are three types of machine learning: supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning. However, machine learning still requires minimal human involvement. Whether AI can learn on its own is just a matter of time.
AI technologies are present in many areas of our lives.
Some examples are:
- Self-driving cars – vehicles that use computer vision and other sensors to navigate the environment and move autonomously.
- Smart assistants – programs on electronic devices that can respond to voice commands and perform certain tasks. Examples of smart assistants are Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, Amazon Alexa, Microsoft’s Cortana, Samsung Bixby.
- Social media algorithms – meant to satisfy the user needs by showing only relevant content and ads.
- AI Chatbots – software that uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning to simulate human-like conversations. These are commonly used in customer service.
In the future, AI will improve and even automate most of the operations and activities in work and life. Most importantly, AI will enhance the efficiency and sustainability of resources in vital spheres such as healthcare, safety and security, government, and many more. We can already notice the precursors of these processes nowadays.
